Strobist first steps

I'm intrigued with what I've read about off-camera flash on various blogs, but particularly on Strobist. I have a very patient family, and my son's wife Carole is very photogenic, and graciously allowed me to photograph her tonight. I'm experimenting with an SB-800 used as a slave bounced from a white umbrella high camera left...my best shots seem to have resulted from moving the umbrella a little more to the right. I'm a bit overexposed, and need to decrease the flash output, but liked these shots as a first effort...
